Nick Guerra

Owner and Founder


Owner and founder of San Diego Hustle Baseball. As a local San Diegan, Nick attended The University of San Diego High School (Now Cathedral Catholic) where he earned a Division One scholarship to the University of San Francisco. In 2021 he returned back to San Diego to play at Grossmont Community College, where he then earned a second scholarship to San Jose State University.


Nick played professionally from 2005-2017 in both the US and in Mexico. During his time as a player he was able to learn from some of the Best! Terry Kennedy, long time Major League Catcher and Minor League Manger of the Year.


Gary Carter, Hall of Fame Catcher. Ricky Henderson, Baseball Legend and Hall of Famer. Phil Nevin, Major League All Star and current Major League manager. Paul Abbot, long time Major League Pitcher, as well many other top professionals in the game.


Nick Guerra Began Coaching in the Off Season of 2005 at The Bishops School in La Jolla California. As a High school Coach Nick has Coached at The Bishops School, Cathedral Catholic, Otay Ranch and Bonita High School.


In 2008 Nick began working with the Tampa Bay Rays as an Associate Scout and Head Assistant of the Tampa Bay Rays Scout Team under the tutelage of Jake Wilson (Long time Major League Scout and Current National Cross Checker for the Rays).


In 2016 he began working with Chicago Cubs under the tutelage of Alex Lontayo (Long time Major League Scout and current Regional Cross Checker with the Cubs).


In 2007 The San Diego Hustle was born! It was at this time when Nick Guerra found his true place in the game. His true passion and place is in helping and guiding our youth! Not only in baseball development but in Life.


Nick Guerra has been fortunate enough to help 100s of kids through out the years reach their goals of playing at the next level, from college to the Major Leagues.
