Willie Wilson

Coach Willie Wilson is a former high school standout at Bonita Vista here in San Diego. He earned all CIF awards from his sophomore year to senior year mainly for his efforts on the mound. After high school, he moved on to Southwestern College and also pitched at Grossmont College. His father was a well known coach in the Southbay area of San Diego for decades and Willie credits much of his own coaching achievements to those early years of watching his father garner so much success.

Willie was named after Willie Mays; one of the greatest of all time to play the game. Coach Willie’s love for baseball was hardwired from the very beginning. He’s obsessed with the sport and loves helping young ball players cultivate their passion and love for the greatest game ever invented. He preaches and practices positivity over all else and consistently encourages our players to build strong character and integrity on and off the field.

His main goal in his role with Hustle is to give back to youth baseball and to the game that has taught him so much about life, friendships, and community.
